Jon and some college friends took a relatively last minute trip to Kansas City this weekend. These are the four that left from our house. I just realized that these are 3 of our 4 groomsmen. I don't know that I've seen them all together in the last 7 years or so.
Thanks to Sarah, Ellie and I were able to go to Conor's tball game. I can honestly say without bias that he is one of the 3 best players on the team. This is based on the following observations:

1. He is one of the players that knows what a baseball looks like.
2. He knows to run to first after he hits the ball.
3. He knows where first base is.
4. He did not make any sort of a sand castle or rock pile while in the field.

See, totally unbiased.

Sometimes I'm a mean Mom. For example, when asked (on a beautiful afternoon) if they could get on the internet and do webkins with the 11 year old neighbor, I said "No, go outside." When asked if they could have a popsicle at 11:30, I said "No, it's almost lunchtime." When asked again if they could play webkins on the computer, I said "NO!" not as pleasantly as the first time. But this redeems me. Made from an extra set of sheets, it attaches to the swingset with velcro and ties. And it is VERY popular! (Thanks for the idea, Mom).
