Thursday was another picnic at a park day. We picked a completely different park this time - Ellie's choice. After lunch, Rowan fell and hit his mouth on the slide. It was bleeding everywhere. He was crying, and Conor and Ellie were both almost crying as well. I cleaned him up, calmed them down, then suggested we go home. C and E both agreed, but Rowan said "Nope" then ran back to the playground.
Jon and I have been talking lately about how Rowan is a bit tougher than the other two were/are. As we were riding home after the bonked lip, Conor admitted to all of us that "Rowan
is tougher than me".

The same night Rowan tripped and hit his forehead on the deck. I kissed it, and when Ellie offered to take him inside to play, he said "No. Woah-wie tough."

Kind of looks like we smack him around, doesn't it?
