After Ellie's successful shopping trip, Conor was antsy to have his own. For some reason he had a lot more money to spend than her. We came home with another white tiger, an orange tiger, a lioness, a cell phone, and 3 small animals. It only took 20 minutes, but it was the longest trip to Target I've ever taken.
My New Year's Resolution for 2008 is to take more pictures. Well, maybe not just more pictures, but pictures more often. This is proof that I'm keeping that resolution!

Ellie's Christmas money was burning a hole in her pocket, so on Tuesday before gymnastics we went to Target. She got some kind of puppy purse thing, a white tiger, a little dog for her, and a little dog for Conor. They are both so good about thinking of each other when they're shopping. If only that happened more often at home...

We are toothless!

A reenactment of the removal:
When I picked the kids up from school today, it was hanging by a thread. Conor could hardly talk or eat, but of course, wouldn't let me near it. I don't know how he got anything done at school. Later in the afternoon he wanted to play DS, so I said he could, as long as he wiggled his tooth while he did. Two minutes later (at the most) he very calmly said "I did it." I'm sure he's relieved, but not nearly as much as me and Jon. We haven't had this much trouble with other teeth, so I'm hoping this is a very rare occurence.
And because she hasn't been seen in awhile, here's Ellie. Today was a Character Counts Day.

Rowan's new hat. It also kind of explains the bruises he has everyday on his forehead. (He's not real smooth about putting it on).

Day 3 of Operation Tooth Watch: Nothing.
In case you can't understand, the answers are "work", "school", "school", with an "Uh" and a "Clap, clap, clap" thrown in. I'm pretty sure my favorite word ever is "school" now.

Ellie's best friend came home from school with us today. That meant Conor had no one to pester. (Well, he thought he had two people to pester, but I stopped him). So he used his DS ticket right away. It's supposed to be good for 30 minutes, but I fully admit it was worth many, many more minutes this afternoon.January 15, 2009

I may have created a monster. Tonight the big kids were picking up Rowan's toys for me. I realized I hadn't taken a picture today, so I grabbed the camera. Conor saw me and said "You could take my picture. Then as the caption you could put 'Conor learns to use the rope to pick up'." So there you go.The best part is that after I took the picture, Conor continued learning to use the rope to pick up. I heard Ellie ask him (in a voice she must have learned from me) "Are you picking up?" Conor said "I'm playing pick up with the rope." She answered "Well are you working?" His answer: "Well it doesn't feel like I'm working."
