She's getting a little crazier, don't you think?
My New Year's Resolution for 2008 is to take more pictures. Well, maybe not just more pictures, but pictures more often. This is proof that I'm keeping that resolution!

On Saturday we went to Jon's parents for a late Easter/birthday celebration. The Easter bunny came, and this is some of the aftermath.
Candy, money, eggshell. Candy, money, eggshell.

On Friday Ellie and I went with friends to an American Girl fashion show. It was pretty much the same program as the one we went to last year, so I wouldn't say it was stellar. But it was for a great cause, and we both got to talk with good friends there and back, so I'd say it was a total success.

I've been working at a new job for a month or so now. Just two days a week, and one of those is just half a day. Ellie's been missing me though, during the 2 hours she's home with the boys and Jon. (On a day that Mallory is home, no less). So we've been taking walks in the evening after dinner. I'd love to tell you that we have wonderful chats, but really, this is how they mostly go:

Saturday was First Communion Day. We had lots of family, but I didn't take too many pictures. The ones I did take are a bit of a summary of life around here.
1. "Conor, Ellie, stand in front of your cake so I can take a picture before I cut it." Please note how Rowan assumes that what applies to the big kids naturally applies to him.

2. Overheard right after this photo was taken: "I can't wait until this is all over so I can wear my suit whenever I want." "I can't wait until it's all over so I never have to wear this stupid dress again."

The cd from Jaden's birthday is very, very popular.
Also, does anyone have any sort of event they'll be attending that involves a dance? Apparently our older two have no concept of how to really dance. When Jon and Ellie went to the Valentine's Day dance, Jon had to perform and emergency intervention to work with Ellie a bit. Conor is headed in the same direction.

For their music concert, Conor wore his new suit (and his much too short tie). Ellie wore her Easter dress.

At one point I actually asked Jon if he thought Conor was going to throw up, because he looked terrible. Turns out he was just thrilled to be there.

There are about 125 second graders, so you're not really getting the full picture. The video helps explain just how thrilled Conor was. My favorite part, however, is the kid you see over his shoulder. I'm sure it's because I know him, but it cracks me up. He does not, in fact, have any sort of musical instrument.

Another Wilson game. You take random blocks that you found in the living room (where there really aren't supposed to be any toys, but whatever). When it's your turn, Rowan picks a block. That block, and any other blocks you have of that type, are the base for your building.

You create, using all of the blocks that are in the living room.
