This afternoon we pulled out a present that Rowan got for Christmas to see if he'd play with it. I think he will, when he gets to see it up close. We'll try that tomorrow.

Mary-Claire came to visit this weekend. Ellie has been looking forward to it for so long, and had so many plans, that I was afraid she would be too intimidated to say a word. That lasted maybe 10 minutes. We had a great weekend, and ended it with a HSM marathon. (But don't tell the kids about the marathon part. They think we just watched one)!

Most evenings in our house end with the reading of both Books-In-A-Bag, and a chapter from our current chapter book. Most often Matt Christopher, but right now it's Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle.

Ellie brought home the Dr. Seuss homework bag today. I have to admit, we did the bare minimum (we don't care for Dr. Seuss too much around here). She came up with all of the "-at" words on her "-at hat" by herself.
