Wednesday was Read Across America Day, at least it was at our school. Kohl's donated these bears so all of the students could take one home to keep and read with. Which was good, because we don't have nearly enough stuffed animals around here.

This afternoon Ellie needed to make a thinking cap. We decided on a crown because a) they have jewels, and b) they are easier for Mommy to make. After making the thinking cap, she then used it to answer the following question: "If you could make yourself into an animal, which animal would you be? Why?"

Her answer: "I wud be a cheday bcus I wud have poku dos." {I would be a cheetah because I would have polka dots.}

Rowan had a zweiback for the first time tonight. He loved it, and loved telling us about it while we were eating dinner.

Kindergarten homework this weekend was to make their own flags. I was in charge of printing off pictures for them to color and put on the flags. Jon served as Conor's assistant, which meant cutting whatever Conor told him to, and keeping Conor from walking out on the project. (Not an easy task).

Grandma and Grandpa Runchey stopped by today. Rowan was not interested in either of them holding him, but he did sit with them for awhile!
