This isn't a typical grocery day. The cart usually has much more in it, and Rowan's usually in a pretty good mood. This is after his air guitar performances, so he was a little tired. Really: I was walking through the aisles, and he was walking and helping. Every once in awhile, I heard a "bee-yaw" accompanied by an arm flail. It wasn't quiet (like someone two aisles over would wonder what it was), and it was in the middle of the aisle. I finally understood that he was trying to tell me "air guitar".

We usually get a new pool every year. It's kind of wasteful, I know, but by the end of the summer, it's gross. Slimy, smelly, icky gross. So we toss it, and then I buy a new one at the beginning of the summer. I grabbed this one quickly, without looking at the dimensions. I just made sure I got the 3-ring, not the 2-ring. I guess in my head I thought that would be bigger. But it's really just deeper. This one is good for Rowan, but it's not too good for sharing.

I know little girls are messy. But did you know little boys are too? They have so much stuff that just seems pointless to me.

Ellie is going to miss 2nd grade. Her 2nd grade teacher is tied with her 1st grade teacher for best teacher EVER.
