April 2, 2010

Last year for their birthday, Kathy gave Conor and Ellie a landscaping kit that included forsythia. To my complete amazement, they're blooming!

For their music concert, Conor wore his new suit (and his much too short tie). Ellie wore her Easter dress.

At one point I actually asked Jon if he thought Conor was going to throw up, because he looked terrible. Turns out he was just thrilled to be there.
There are about 125 second graders, so you're not really getting the full picture. The video helps explain just how thrilled Conor was. My favorite part, however, is the kid you see over his shoulder. I'm sure it's because I know him, but it cracks me up. He does not, in fact, have any sort of musical instrument.

The weather got a little chilly the past few days, and that may be my fault. But our screens are clean, and ready for some more beautiful, warm, sunshiney days!

A side effect of cleaning screens:

Conor has recently discovered the outside basketball hoop. It's not new - it was actually here when we bought the house. He's just somehow figured out (finally!) that he can take his "game" against himself from the toyroom to the outside.

I'm thinking that the sandbox will be popular again this year. It's already hard to keep Rowan out of it.

Whatever Conor does, Rowan does.

Another Wilson game. You take random blocks that you found in the living room (where there really aren't supposed to be any toys, but whatever). When it's your turn, Rowan picks a block. That block, and any other blocks you have of that type, are the base for your building.

You create, using all of the blocks that are in the living room.

When your building is complete, Rowan smashes it with his dump truck, then uses his tow truck to haul the dump truck away. Next player.
