Rowan thinks he's just as old as them.

Me (in the kitchen): Rowan, where are you?

R (in the toyroom): I down here.

Me: What are you doing? (Because I can't see him).

R: I playing with Conor's stuff.

Yep, in one of his favorite spots.

For those of you not aware of it, despite his attitude towards his parents, Conor did, in fact, hang the moon. (At least it seems that way to one guy).

Monday was another family event. Matt was in Iowa for a bit, so the cousins in the Des Moines area got together to grill out and see him (and each other). These are just a few of the second cousins there. They had a ton of fun together!

On Sunday we had a little more family time. We learned that while Jaden isn't very ticklish (and tries very hard not to be at all), Bailey giggles if you look at her.

We also learned that Bailey will make a very good babysitter in a few years.

We also learned that these cousins are pretty much best friends.

This weekend was the Sturgis Falls celebration. It was also my 20th high school reunion. That meant I got to ride in the parade. I was not the highlight of the parade for the Runchey family, however. That's because Bailey, Jaden and Ellie rode with Grandpa in the convertible. I have no pictures of that, so maybe someone will send me some?

Walking to the parade:

It was also Mom and Dad's 40th anniversary this weekend, so all of us were home to take them to dinner. That meant we could take family pictures. Aren't my kids cute? Conor is grinning and squinting like a madman, Ellie is crying because she doesn't like her dress anymore, and Rowan isn't paying any attention at all.

Between all the activities, we were able to squeeze in some down time.

He heard the camera, and then knew I was there. If I'd been sneakier, you could have heard "Chug a chuga choo choo".
