Poor Rowan gets no attention. None at all.
My New Year's Resolution for 2008 is to take more pictures. Well, maybe not just more pictures, but pictures more often. This is proof that I'm keeping that resolution!

Santa made his annual visit to our library on Thursday. In preparation, Ellie wrote a new letter.

Both Conor and Ellie were nervous, as usual. While we were waiting in line, we heard Santa asking other kids what they did to be good. Conor hates to be caught off guard, so we started talking about what they do to be good. Ellie came up with listening and being nice, but Conor's reaction was to get mad. Then when he was on Santa's lap, Conor actually forgot what he wanted. He tried to check his list, but couldn't find the main present. Very panic stricken visit with Santa! And you can't tell from the picture, but Rowan was screaming. Fortunately Conor and Ellie have been coached enough to "look at the camera no matter what"! Santa needs to learn that too.

Conor and Ellie have reading calendars each month, and they set a goal at the beginning of the month. This month their goal had to be at least 400 minutes. Ellie went with 400 minutes, and Conor? He's going for 401. Their calendars this time are also the perfect example of our twins. They may seem identical, but check out their names.

The Christmas that Conor and Ellie were one, we were able to have the tree out- we just put all the presents in the playpen. Not so the Christmas Rowan is one. The tree is behind the gate, but he's standing in his toy box, hitting the tree with a water bottle. Resourceful? Yes. Destructive? Oh yes.
I predict that by Christmas Day he'll have figured out a way to boost himself onto the couch and then over the gate. Place your bets now.
