November 8, 2008

On Saturday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Wilson's to celebrate Thanksgiving!

This boy loves his pumpkin pie!

On Friday, Conor and Ellie purged their Halloween/birthday party candy. I gave them each a gallon ziploc bag, and told them to only keep what they would eat. They also went through our leftover candy. (Even though the weather was beautiful, we didn't have nearly as many trick-or-treaters as usual). There are some stuffed ziploc bags in our cupboard!

I know, another silly smile. But this is the only way you can see his 4+ teeth.

Not long ago, the kids' teacher stopped me in the hall and told me that that morning they'd been talking about people who were trustworthy. They talked about moms and dads and teachers. Then Ellie raised her hand. "Conor is trustworthy because he always plays with me and he always does what he says he's going to."

I don't know who was more teary, their teacher or me!

We are easily entertained, I guess. Ellie climbed to the top twice, Rowan tried countless times, and Conor barely made it up to the second rung. And then only because we forced him to.

It seems that somewhere in the "Handbook for Six Year Olds" it is written that whenever you go to a HSM event with your aunt and Mom, you should have curly hair. So in honor of the movie this afternoon, we got out the curling iron. Poor girl, by the end of the movie it's just as straight as before.

Sometimes when he's extra tired, we all need a reminder.

Ellie and I ran to Target on Saturday (no dishwasher soap!). She had some money so we stopped in the dollar section. She got two stuffed animals (one for Conor) and some jewel tattoos.
